% West Java - Sunda Badak is a single origin coffee vastly different than ones we have carried in the past.
West Java is a region with a tropical monsoon climate, and geography made up of a chain of active and extinct volcanos known as the Ring of Fire. The elevation, conditioned varieties, and weather lends this region to producing the highest quality coffee in Java.
The % West Java - Sunda Badak coffee uses the wet-hulled process, which consists of the coffee cherry being picked, depulped, and then dried to 35% moisture content. Majority of coffee is dried 10% moisture content. The higher moisture content results in coffee that typically is full-bodied, low acidity, with earthy and herbal notes.
Tasting Notes: Nutmeg and Kahlua flavors, earthy with good acidity.
